Frequently asked questions
Will compressing ruin my text?
Not in Smart mode: text, links and bookmarks are left exactly as they are and only large embedded images are re-encoded. A separate “flatten” option exists for scans, and it warns you before turning text into pictures.
Why did my PDF not get smaller?
Text-only PDFs are already compact. When nothing can be shrunk safely, the tool keeps your original instead of returning a larger file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Bynd PDF runs entirely in your browser, so your files are processed on your own device and never sent to us or anyone else.
