About Bynd PDF

What Bynd PDF is

Bynd PDF is a free toolbox for PDFs, photos and documents: merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, scan, resize to an exact file size and more. Every tool runs inside your own browser tab, so the files you work on stay on your device.

Who makes it

Bynd PDF is built and maintained by Dark Silt Labs, an independent software studio from India. We made it because most online PDF tools ask you to upload your documents to somebody else's server, and many of them limit how much you can do for free.

What we stand for

• Your files stay yours. Processing happens on your device. We do not receive, store or look at your files.
• Free, without strings. No account, no watermark and no daily limits.
• No tracking of what you do. We do not run analytics or tracking scripts on the site.
• Built on open work. The tools use open-source libraries and openly licensed AI models. See the licences and credits.

Don't take our word for it

You can check the privacy claim yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, then use any tool on a file. You will see the page load, but your file is never sent anywhere. A few tools (for example background removal, transcription and OCR) download a generic AI model or language data the first time you use them; your document is never part of that request.

How it stays free

Bynd PDF is supported by optional donations. There is currently no advertising on the site. If we ever turn ads on, the Privacy Policy will describe exactly what changes before it happens.
