1. Agreement to terms

By using Bynd PDF (this website and its tools), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You confirm that you are old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, or that a parent or guardian agrees on your behalf.

2. What Bynd PDF is

Bynd PDF provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF, image, audio and video files — merging, splitting, editing, converting, signing, compressing, and similar operations. Every tool runs locally in your browser; no file you process is uploaded to any server we run. The service is offered free of charge and supported by optional donations (and, if we ever switch it on, advertising).

3. Your files and content

You are solely responsible for the files, fonts, images, signatures, text and any other material you process with this site (together, "your content"), and for having the legal right to use, edit and store it. Your content is processed on your own device: we do not receive, upload, store, host, view, monitor or moderate it, and we have no ability to do so. That responsibility rests entirely with you.

You confirm that you own your content, or that you hold every licence, permission and consent needed to use it the way you use these tools.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to process content you don't have the legal right to use
• Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights
• Remove or alter a watermark, copyright notice, licence information or other rights-management information, or bypass a password, encryption or other access or copy protection, on material you don't own and aren't authorised to modify
• Create, alter or sign a document in order to forge, falsify or mislead — including fake certificates, invoices, identity documents, signatures or credentials — or impersonate any person or organisation
• Use another person's signature, name, identity documents, photos or personal data without their permission
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the site's operation
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the site's tools as your own service
• Use automated means to abuse any advertising served on this site

A few tools ask you to tick a confirmation box before they run. Ticking it is a statement by you that the confirmation is true.

5. Fonts, images and other third-party materials

The fonts offered inside the tools come from open-licensed font libraries (such as Google Fonts, under licences like the SIL Open Font License) and are used under those licences. You can also choose a font file from your own device: it is read only inside your browser, is never uploaded to us, and we do not check, license or vouch for it. Many commercial fonts, images and templates have licences that restrict embedding, editing or redistribution — including embedding a font in a PDF. Complying with those licences is your responsibility.

6. Tools that remove protection or create documents

Some tools can remove a password or permissions from a PDF, erase a watermark or logo from an image or video, edit the text of a PDF, add a signature, or generate documents such as invoices, certificates and agreements. They exist for legitimate uses — for example opening your own file after forgetting its password, cleaning up your own photo, or producing your own paperwork — and are not a way around anyone else's rights. You alone are responsible for making sure you are allowed to use a tool on a file, and for the accuracy, authenticity and legality of anything you create with it. Generated templates (including any agreement or NDA template) are general-purpose samples, not legal advice, and no lawyer–client relationship is created.

7. Copyright complaints and reporting misuse

We don't host, store or publish anything you process here, so there is no user content on our servers that we could take down. If you believe Bynd PDF is being used to infringe your rights or for any unlawful purpose, please email contactdarksiltlabs@gmail.com with: who you are, which right you say is affected, a clear description of the misuse, and how we can reach you. We review reports in good faith and may, at our sole discretion, restrict, change or disable a tool or feature, or block access to the site, where appropriate. We cannot identify or contact individual users, because we do not collect their files or identities.

8. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Bynd PDF, Dark Silt Labs and its owner(s) and contributors from any claim, loss, liability, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the site or its tools, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone's rights.

9. "As is", no warranty

Bynd PDF is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep the tools accurate and reliable, but we don't guarantee that any tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Always keep a backup of any important file before processing it, and verify the output before relying on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bynd PDF and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the site by you or anyone else, including loss of data, loss of files, or any outcome from content processed here. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid us, which for a free service is nothing.

11. Third-party services

This site loads a small number of third-party libraries (for PDF processing and similar functionality), and a few tools fetch fonts or an on-device AI model when you open them. Google AdSense advertising is currently switched off; if it is enabled later it is covered by its own terms. These third-party services have their own respective terms, and our Privacy Policy lists exactly what your browser contacts and how AdSense may use cookies if ads are on.

12. Intellectual property

The Bynd PDF name, logo, and site design belong to their respective owner(s). The underlying open-source libraries this site uses remain the property of their own authors under their own licenses. Files you process through the site remain entirely your own property — we claim no rights over them.

13. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms, or change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, at any time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site. If we don't enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, regardless of the domain extension the site is reached through. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
