Common questions
Is my file actually safe? Where does it go?
It doesn't go anywhere — every tool on this site runs entirely inside your own browser tab using JavaScript. Your PDF is read, processed, and saved right there on your device. We have no server that receives it, so there's nothing for us (or anyone else) to see, store, or leak.
If nothing gets uploaded, why does it say I need internet?
Fair question! The file processing itself needs zero internet — that part is true regardless of your connection. But this site is kept free through ads, and ads genuinely can't be shown (or verified as real, non-fraudulent views) without an internet connection. So we require a connection to open the tools, even though your file itself never actually travels anywhere over that connection.
Is this really free? What's the catch?
Yes, genuinely free — every tool on the site, no sign-up, no hidden limits. It's supported by ads and optional donations, not by charging you or selling any data (there's no data to sell, since we never see your files).
What happens to my file after I close the tab?
It's gone, immediately — nothing was ever stored anywhere outside your device's own memory for that browser tab. If you want to keep the output, download it before closing.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes — every tool works on mobile browsers the same way it does on desktop, since it's all just running in the browser itself.
Do you collect my email or personal details?
No account or email is needed to use any tool. The only place we'd ever see your email is if you choose to message us through the Contact page — and even then, it's never shown publicly.
A tool isn't working — what should I do?
First, check you're connected to the internet (needed for the page/ads to load, as above). Try refreshing the page and re-opening the file. If it's still not working, let us know through the Contact page with what happened, which tool, and your browser — we read every message.
Some tools say "Beta" — what does that mean?
It means the tool is new and works well for most cases, but hasn't been used by as many people yet as our long-standing tools. We'd love your feedback on them through the Contact page if something looks off.
Still stuck?
Send us a message on the Contact page — tell us which tool, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. That's usually enough for us to help.
Like the tools?
Bynd PDF stays free through ads and optional support from people who find it useful. If it saved you a trip to a sketchy upload-your-PDF website somewhere, you're welcome to buy us a coffee on Ko-fi — entirely optional, and never required to use any tool.
